Chelsie’s orphanage is about 6 hours from our hotel location
and therefore we did not have the opportunity to visit the place where she has
spent her first 20 months. Therefore we
had a free day to get to know each other since our other companion families
used this day to visit their children’s orphanages. We learned a lot more about the personality
of the child that we now claim as our own.
She really has a “Great Laugh”.
Also she likes to play with her Daddy.
We saw the first signs of initiated contact by her. It came quite out of nowhere when she decided
to come and tap her daddy on the foot to make sure that he knew she was
there. Then she did it a few times after
that and we were able to get her on video playing with him. That was just the beginning of the joy that
we shared that day. She really loves
her Mommy, especially when it is time for food.
Unfortunately, we have been delayed in getting more
information on the blog due to our converter taking a hit when the flat iron
was plugged into the device. We are
working on battery power, but hope to have some more days soon. MORE TO COME…
